IAMT is so much more than a place to learn how to act, sing and dance. It is a safe environment that allows its students to explore and become the Performing Artist they hope to be. Taught by active members of the industry with real world sensibility is one of the many things that gives the students a solid foundation from which to launch their careers! The students come out of this training program ready to work.

IAMT is doing it right. The care, the attention and the training given to these students is unparallel. I have been honored to teach there for many years and seeing the growth in the students every time I return is unlike anywhere else. Not only are they coming out as true triple threats, they are coming out as good human beings. They are people that you want to hire because they will raise the level of your production on stage and off.

IAMT is on the pulse of what is happening in the entertainment industry in NYC. Their program sets their students up for success and introduces them to the industry they hope to be a part of. I love meeting students and working with their faculty because I know I will be met with enthusiasm, professionalism and kindness.

What I’ve been so struck by, working with the IAMT students, is the commitment and seriousness with which they approach the work. And POSITIVITY. It’s no exaggeration to say this is the most positive educational environment I’ve ever had the pleasure to work in. There is an atmosphere of support between the students and a real joy and commitment to their work. It seems to me that the direct connection with working Broadway artists makes their study not just an academic exercise, but actually a conduit to working professionally in the theater today. When students feel their classes are relevant in this way, their enthusiasm and focus is sky high.

Into the Woods, Only Murders in the Building, Westworld, Barry, Succession
IAMT has some of the best training for young students looking to pursue a career in the performing arts. After seeing graduates from top schools in the country in a professional audition setting, IAMT students are leagues above in their training, professionalism, and technique. The thing I love most about their training is that not only are they being trained to be actors, singers, and dancers, but they are also being taught how to be better, kinder human beings. They are always a pleasure to work with in the audition room, willing to take directions and take risks. Out of the audition room, they are always some of the kindest and most genuine people you'll meet.
